Cherubim Music Trust is a charity that loans instruments to talented young music students who have reached a stage where they require one of professional calibre in order to develop their potential. http://www.cherubimtrust.org/ Founded in 2001 by Clancy Steer in gratitude for a fairy godmother supplying daughter Serafina with a concert harp for music college, Clancy realised how many other parents faced a similar situation and resolved to create a Trust to help others. In the 10 years of its existence Cherubim has raised over £100,000 and has assisted 26 young musicians with the 18 instruments it now owns. Since it 2008 Cherubim has been directed by Savilian Michael Maxwell Steer. The Trust recently received a donation of £13,500 from the Promenaders Music Charities and is now seeking the remaining £4000 to purchase a £17,600 concert harp for use by a current student at Chethams School of Music.
