AN EVENING WITH PADDY ASHDOWN – GAME OF SPIES: THE SECRET AGENT, THE TRAITOR AND THE NAZI

Several years after publishing a book about a daring Second World War commando raid, a subsequent chain of events would lead the Right Honourable Lord Ashdown of Norton-sub-Hamdon (known to most as Paddy) to produce a work about the real-life exploits of three men involved in a deadly triangle of espionage: a secret agent of the Special Operations Executive, the Gestapo officer tasked with tracking him, and the French Resistance leader who betrayed him.

Savilian Arthur Snell will lead a conversation with the author to uncover how he has drawn on the skills, experience and contacts developed over an exciting and varied career (which covers the Royal Marines, the special forces and intelligence services, diplomacy and politics) to produce a fascinating and fresh perspective on a much-covered period of European history in Game of Spies: The Secret Agent, The Traitor and the Nazi.
