APERITIF CONCERT – THE PISCES STRING TRIO, LED BY CHERUBIM CELLIST JOSH SALTER

They will give a lovely programme of shortish trios by Pleyel, Haydn, Beethoven & Schubert that might have been played as home entertainment. What is noteworthy (!) is that they all play on gut strings, which makes a far mellower sound than modern steel strings. The cello is a signed and dated instrument of 1828 by Corsby of Northampton, which was beautifully restored and given to Cherubim by a supporter in Northumberland, and is perfect for this music.
