Social Events

The Savile club enjoys perhaps an unparalleled range of cultural and artistic activities.

You may choose one of the brilliant aperitif concerts, held before lunch on the first Friday of each month. These free concerts have been running for over 10 years and have proved increasingly popular with members and guests. Performers are often Savile members who are professional musicians and also young musicians from Cherubim Music Trust, as for instance those seen here with concert curator Michael Maxwell Steer.  Aperitif Concert videothèque: https://www.youtube.com/@savileaperitif

Perhaps you would prefer to attend one of the frequent pre-lunch literary discussions involving remarkable authors and presentations of newly published literary works hosted by Savilian David Olroyd-Bolt.

Then again, the Science at the Savile team present a series of fascinating, and occasionally explosive events throughout the year, covering an enormous range of topics.  There are also occasional Magic evenings……….

Otherwise, you could just fall back on the regular Thursday jazz evenings in the courtyard in summer and the bar when it’s cold, run by Savilian Jonny Baynes on the drums, accompanied by a host of regulars from the Soho jazz scene.

Thankfully there is no such thing as a typical year in the Savile’s calendar.
