Jonathan Aitken and Edward Smyth are two ex-prisoners and authors of the acclaimed book: Doing Time. 

Jonathan, a former MP and Cabinet Minister, served an 18 month sentence for perjury and is now an ordained Priest and Prison Chaplain at HMP Pentonville.  He is well known as a broadcaster, lecturer and author of many books and articles on Criminal Justice issues.

Edward Smyth is a Senior Executive with the Forward Trust specialising in drug rehabilitation programmes.

He is also a Doctoral Student in Theology.  Doing Time is his first book.
