THE 2024 SAVILE CLUB WINE DINNER: An evening with James Tanner of Tanners Wines

The Savile Club wine committee has invited Mr. James Tanner, CEO of Tanners Wine Merchants, to come along to the club and speak, bringing with him a selection of interesting wines chosen by him to stimulate your interest. The selected wines will be paired with a 3-course meal designed in conjunction with the club head chef, Michael James.

James Tanner will offer attendees a tour d’horizon of the wine trade in 2024, addressing some of the challenges and rewards of working in the world of wine. He will also share anecdotes from his recent travels around the globe in pursuit of the best that wine-growers have to offer. James will talk to you about the wines he has chosen for the evening and what makes them worth your attention. Tanners Wine Merchants is family-owned, family-run, resolutely independent and celebrated its 180th anniversary in 2022. It is run by James Tanner, Chairman and Managing Director, the fourth generation of the family to work in the company, who took over from his father, Richard Tanner.
