AGNES LANGER PERFORMS ELGAR

Agnes Langer is an outstanding and prize winning young Hungarian violinist who performs with rare passion and commitment. Her long time coach, Prof. Anne Shih, was a student of, and only assistant to, the legendary Josef Gingold, who taught Joshua Bell among many others. Agnes plays on a very fine Panormo violin, the ‘father’ of English violin making. Agnes’ pianist partner is Giacomo Battarino, one of Italy’s finest musicians. They both appear annually at the famed Casalmaggiore International Music Festival.

The recital will feature the Violin Sonata composed by the eminent Savilian, Sir Edward Elgar. Works by Bartok, Ysaye, and Symanowski, will complete the concert.
