AN EVENING OF CABARET WITH TOM WAKELEY AND KRISTINA LIAN

Tom Wakeley has worked extensively in London’s West End and was Assistant Conductor on the musical Chicago for fourteen years. His other West End credits include Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Aspects of Love at the Prince of Wales and By Jeeves at the Lyric. Damn Yankees at the Adelphi. Also Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Lust, Kiss Of The Spiderwoman, Phantom Of The Opera, City Of Angels, She Loves Me and Cameron Mackintosh’s Miss Saigon at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane. He was Children’s Musical Director/3rd conductor for Cameron Mackintosh on Oliver at the London Palladium.

Since 1990 Tom has been Vocal Coach at RADA, working in conjunction with the singing teachers there. He has made many appearances on BBC Radio 2 and Radio 3 as an accompanist and as the specialist music presenter on BBC Radio Berkshire.

After retiring from West End work Tom has formed many cabaret duets with singers, most notably Nicky Haslam, and in August 2017 Tom produced the Musical Cabaret Revue In Gay Company by Fred Silver, at the Jermyn Street Theatre in London to great acclaim.

Kristina Lian was born in Sweden, Gothenburg and has lived in London since 1998. At the age of seven, Kristina began to play the piano and a few years later as a soloist in her choir realised the joy of solo singing. A professional soprano, Kristina’s repertoire ranges from Classical Song, Musical Theatre to light Jazz/Pop. Kristina has freelanced for many years as a soloist throughout Europe and has sung as lead singer in various ensembles. Kristina has performed at the Sound, Leicester Square, been broadcast on MTV and the BBC. She has won “Sony´s” singing competition, also several London festival competitions in different genres including German Lieder and Musical Theatre
