The film follows the story at close range of the England Cricket Team from 2009 until 2013 when Andy Flower and Andrew Strauss brought fame to a group of players who became the World Number One Test Squad.  It then follows their spectacular descent. 
Compellingly funny and emotional, “The Edge” tells the story of a special band of brothers’ rise to the top, their unmatched achievements and the huge toll it would take.

“The Edge” features hilarious, stunning, unseen behind the scenes footage and breath-taking original interviews with the stars of the era and their coaches. 

The cast includes Andrew Strauss, Kevin Pietersen, Sir Alastair Cook, James Anderson, Stuart Broad, Monty Panesar, Graeme Swann, Jonathan Trott, Matt Prior, Ian Bell, Paul Collingwood, Steven Finn, Tim Bresnan, David Saker and Andy Flower.
The film has been made in support of two charities, Heads Together, a mental health initiative from the Royal Group, and the Ruth Strauss Foundation

“The Edge” will be introduced by Savilian Patrick Kidd who was a Times cricket writer during this period.
